A day at the Met Cloisters, NYC

If you have been to New York City I am sure you’ve heard of the infamous Metropolitan Museum of Art on 5th. However, few are aware of their sister branch, The Met Cloisters. Located in the beautiful Fort Tyron Park in northern Manhattan. I knew the museum would be the perfect backdrop for a styled photoshoot. I love historic art in general and the European influence that is portrayed through out the space is absolutely stunning.

The Met Cloisters was first opened to the public in 1938 featuring medieval works of art such as tapestries, stained glass, columns, jewelry, and metal work all dating back to the 12th through 15th centuries. You can read more about the history here!

& check out some of the lovely images I captured of the space + of our model Josephine!
